Most task managers are where work goes after somebody remembers to write it down. This is the layer that catches the ask first.
Reads for asks, not noise
A fast, misspelling-tolerant filter runs over every message locally - no AI cost, nothing stored. Only messages that genuinely look like a request go any further.
Human-approved by default
Every suggestion lands in a review queue before it becomes real. Nothing is silently created and assigned to somebody without a person looking at it first.
Bulk approve
A whole queue of clean suggestions can be confirmed in one click, so reviewing is seconds rather than a chore.
Full context on every draft
Who asked, where, when, and a link straight back to the original message - so approving never means trusting a summary.
Message the bot directly
Anyone can DM Magnetask to add a task for themselves. It is the one case that skips the queue, because a self-directed request has nobody to approve it.
Opt-in auto-confirm
Once a team trusts the accuracy, an admin can auto-confirm the one unambiguous case: a message naming exactly one teammate. Everything else still waits.

Magnetask reads a connected Slack workspace or Gmail mailbox for messages that look like requests, and turns those into draft tasks for a person to approve.
Then it behaves like a task manager should.
Board and table
Drag-and-drop between stages, or a dense sortable table - switchable instantly. Every change is live for the whole team without a refresh.
Rich task detail
Title, description, tag, priority, deadline, assignee and a running notes thread, with a full audit trail of who changed what and when.
View before edit
Opening a task shows a read-only view; editing is a deliberate act, so nothing changes by accident. Admins can still reassign in one click.
Deadline urgency at a glance
Due dates are colour-coded green, mustard and red the moment a task opens. Urgency never requires doing the date maths yourself.
Unassigned work cannot hide
Anything with nobody attached is flagged in red everywhere it appears, with a dedicated filter so admins can sweep and triage in one place.
Round-robin assignment
Let Magnetask spread incoming work evenly across the team, instead of it all landing on whoever is most visible.

Three real roles
Owner, Admin and Member, each with a permission boundary enforced on the server - not a hidden button. Members manage their own assigned work; admins see the whole team's.
A private review queue
Every member gets their own queue of what was captured for them. What one person captured privately stays theirs until they choose to share it.
Notifications that matter
Assigned to you, due within 24 hours, overdue - in-app with live toasts, and by email from our own verified domain. Each person controls their own email alerts.
Multiple workspaces
Run separate workspaces from one account and switch between them, sharing a single seat pool rather than paying for the same person twice.
Seven interface languages
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Chinese - chosen per person, not imposed on the whole workspace.
